13 Jul
2017

Following the terrible attacks in Manchester and London we have previously reported guidance issued by the National Counter Terrorism Security Office, this guidance focused on the London attacks and the lessons that could be learned.

On the 8th June, a lengthy and more general document providing guidance on increasing the protection of crowded places from a terrorist attack was published.

A copy of the Crowed Places Guidance 2017 can be found here.

The guidance is primarily aimed at those in the security sector and those who own or run businesses and broken down into sector specific advice including, amongst others,  the night-time economy, major events and hotels and restaurants.
