Scotland – Minimum Unit Price consultation

The Scottish Government has launched a consultation on their proposal to impose a minimum price per unit of alcohol of 50 pence – details of which can be found here: 'Improving Scotland’s Health: Minimum Unit Pricing of Alcohol'.

A copy of the draft proposed statutory instrument is supplied with the consultation - The Alcohol (Minimum Price per Unit) (Scotland) Order 2018. Notably, the proposed coming into force date of the statutory instrument is 1 May 2018.

Online responses can be made through the Scottish Government’s consultation platform, Citizen Space. Otherwise, the Respondent Information Form (found within the consultation itself) can be completed and emailed to Minimumpricingconsultation@gov.scot

The deadline for responses is 26 January 2018.
