It is being reported that  the West Dunbartonshire Licensing Board has agreed the policy on the granting of applications over extended hours over for 2018/2019’s festive season.

This year the period for granting applications for extended hours will run from Friday, December 14, 2018 to Wednesday, January 2, 2019 (inclusive of January 2).

Premises licence holders without significant entertainment, which includes public houses, hotel bars and members’ clubs, may apply for one hour more than the normal licensing hours during the festive period – with Hogmanay as the exception, allowing for applications for extended hours to 3am on the condition that last entry to the premises is 11am and it is a pre-ticketed event.  Meanwhile, nightclubs may apply for extensions running to 4am.

Any applications for extended hours falling outside of these agreed hours may be required to be submitted to the Board for their consideration – particularly if there are any objections.

Please note that these are not automatic extensions and a form of application will be required by individual premises.
