Further to our September news article on the introduction of the new Ten pound notes the Bank of England has confirmed that the date at which the ‘old’ paper 10 pound notes will cease to be legal tender is 1st March 2018.

Like with all the recent coin and note changes the old notes will still be able to be exchanged for the new polymer version at the Bank of England after that date.

According to the Bank of Englands Banknote Bulletin, polymer £10 notes ake up over 55% of £10 notes in circulation as of 3rd November 2017.
