Milton Keynes - Late Night Levy - No, Yes, No

Milton Keynes Council last night rejected the proposed adoption of a Late Night Levy.  The licensing sub-committee had initially rejected the proposal at a meeting but subsequently the full licensing committee approved the proposal.

Last night at a public meeting, we understand the full Council, having heard from various trade representatives (including our consultant Martin Rawlings), finally rejected the adoption of a Levy by a vote of 23 – 21.

This perhaps shows the importance of those in the trade engaging in the process by making representations and attending meetings to have their voices heard.

Law correct at the date of publication.
