Licensing Consultation Survey now open: Brighton and Hove City Council

Certainly of interest to our clients in the Sussex area, and particularly anyone seeking to consider Licensed premises in Brighton and Hove. 

The Consultation Survey is currently open with the Licensing Department and is to gather information to consider:

  • Inclusion of new areas within the “Special Stress Area Policy” in particular Central Hove.
  • Reconsideration of the way Café Bars are dealt with and defined within the policy. 
  • Whether the standard  retail sale of Alcohol hours for new café bars within the CIZ (Cumulative Impact Zone)  be reduced from 1130pm as currently allowed by the policy.

The authority have actioned the survey as part of their review of their statement of Licensing Policy.

The basis for the issues highlighted in the survey, have come from recent reports to the Licensing Committee found here.
