Leigh Schelvis - JG&Ps Newest Recruit

We are delighted to announce that John Gaunt & Partners have welcomed a new recruit to the solicitor team this month.

Leigh Schelvis is our newest member joining as a senior solicitor, having qualified as a solicitor in 2014 in Leeds. Leigh has gained experience in Gaming and Alcohol Licensing and also has a background in Commercial and Civil Litigation. Leigh has a long history in the leisure industry, with his father holding senior corporate roles in one of the world’s largest spirit companies. Prior to qualifying as a solicitor, Leigh experienced life on the front lines of the leisure industry, by working in a variety of restaurants and bars, being employed by some of the UK’s most prevalent operators and award-winning cocktail bars.

During his career to date, Leigh has represented a variety of operators ranging from PLCs, a Premiership Football Club, a national supermarket chain, national gambling operators, and both national and independent bar and pub operators. Leigh’s specialism concerns the Licensing issues arising around sporting events.
