Late Night Levy in Southwark Licensing Authority?

Southwark have issued a notice regarding a proposal to vary the Late Night Levy (LNL) which is currently in place.

It was introduced in 2019 and is currently for the licensable activity of late night refreshment after midnight and up to 6am.

The proposal is as follows

To keep the same hours

To provide exemptions for:

1. Premises with overnight accommodation, where the provision of late-night refreshment can only be supplied to persons staying at the premises for consumption on the premises.
2. Theatres and cinemas.
3. Bingo Halls.
4. Community Amateur Sports Clubs.
5. Community premises.

A 30% reduction for premises within the BID.
