We regularly keep our clients updated on the Late Night Levy and the Licensing Authorities who choose to adopt it.

Despite previously rejecting its introduction in 2013 citing that the "potential costs outweighed the potential benefits" Kingston Council are set to decide whether to now introduce a Late Night Levy in the borough.

At a previous meeting on the 4th July 2017 the committee moved, seconded and approved an amendment for officers to produce a report for today's meeting (1st November) on the "costs and benefits of introducing a Late Night Levy within Kingston."

The suggested exemptions to the late night levy include, at this stage; hotels, theatres, bingo halls, community sports clubs and premises who are part of Kingstonfirst.

We will keep you updated as to the decision of the committee, should it be introduced, we are on hand to offer specialist advice for our clients on 0114 266 8664.
