Covid 19 - What you need to know - Working safely during coronavirus - Guidance

13 May
2020

Following the Prime Minister’s address to the nation on Sunday evening the Government have started to publish sector specific adviCe in anticipation of the proposed reopening of closed businesses in England.

The suite of guidance published to date can be found here. They include advice for ‘Restaurants offering takeaway or delivery’ and ‘Shops and branches’.

The reopening of pubs and other hospitality businesses is not currently planned until ‘Phase 3’, which will not start until 4th July, at the earliest. Advice for pubs etc is therefore yet to be published.

We anticpate that final advice in that regard has not yet been settled and scientific evidence of ‘Phase 2’ re-openings, international comparisons and stakeholder input will all play a part in the guidance when finally published.

We will keep you updated.

Law correct at the date of publication.
