Covid 19 - What you need to know - Welsh Regulations Published

03 Dec
2020

Following the First Minister’s announcement on Monday Regulations have now been published which will impose new restrictions on Welsh Hospitality businesses from 6pm on Friday (4th December 2020).

The new Regulations will require specified businesses to trade only between 6am and 6pm daily and which forbid the sale and/or consumption of alcohol on the premises or in any area adjacent to the business where seating is made available for customers.

Off sales are not affected and sales of alcohol to residents of hotels/other accommodation are subject to a number of exemptions.

Premises where celebrations for a wedding or civil partnership have been booked before the Regulations come into force may remain open until 10pm (not 6pm as in all other instances) for the purposes of holding the celebration.

A copy of the full Regulations can be found here.

Law correct at the date of publication.
