Covid 19 - What you need to know - Scotland update their Road Map

23 Jun
2020

We have previously reported on the Roadmap published by the Scottish Government to outline the route out of the Covid-19 restrictions.

The current status of the epidemic in Scotland means that the changes in Phase 2 will be introduced in stages, rather than all at once.

In respect of Shopping, eating and drinking out the Scottish government has announced:

  • Street-access retail can re-open once guidance is implemented. Interiors of shopping centres / malls remain closed for non-essential shops until Phase 3.
  • Outdoor markets can re-open once guidance is implemented.
  • That scientific evidence on how pubs and restaurants can open outdoor spaces safely will be considered with a review to be announced on 2 July, closley matching an anticipated reopening of licensed premises in England & Wales (on or about 4th July).

The key changes in phase 2 and dates they will be introduced can be found here.
