During her Covid-19 briefing on Monday First Minister. Nicola Sturgeon, announced Scotland would begin to lift restrictions from 28th May.

In a similar way to England, the first stages of relaxation would mean people could meet someone from another household as long as social distancing is maintained.

More outdoor activities and sports like golf and fishing will also be allowed. In addition, garden centres and recycling facilities would re-open and some outdoor work would be permitted to resume.

Further details are expected on Thursday when a ‘route map’ will be announced by the Scottish Government taking into account figures on the spread of the infection and the death rate data which will be published by the National Records of Scotland on Wednesday.
