Covid 19 - What you need to know -PPL/PRS payments

Following discussions between UKHospitality and the  PPL/PRS (who are responsible for collecting licensing fees from UK businesses who play or perform music subject to copyright protection), they have made the following announcement:

• PPL and PRS will not charge customers for their music usage during the period they are closed (temporarily or permanently) due to COVID-19;
• Announced changes to payment policies to introduce further flexibility, including deferred payments, for customers during this period; and
• Have temporarily suspended late payment surcharges.

This will come as a relief to many businesses who are reviewing cash flow at this difficult time.
