Covid 19 - Updated Guidance Regarding Soft Play/Indoor Play Areas

A further update was released on the 6th October under the heading “Working safely during coronavirus" which relates to the use of soft play or indoor play area in pubs and restaurants.

Following through all the links in the guidance release, the update appears to be in relation to the best practice issued by the British Association of Leisure Parks, Piers and attractions Safety Bulletin the link for which is: Indoor Play Areas for Children Operational Guidance for Soft Play Equipment -Version 3 updated on 02.10.2020.

Also with at Section 2.2 of the latest guidance the taking of payment is revisited and stipulates “encouraging contactless payments where possible and adjusting location of card readers to social distancing guidelines (2 metres or 1 metre with risk mitigation where 2 metres is not viable)” along with at point 9  “payment should also be taken at the table wherever possible, but may be taken at a bar or counter if safety measures are in place.”
