Consultation to extend licensing hours for Queen's Platinum Jubilee

30 Dec
2021

The Government will seek to extend licensing hours across England and Wales in celebration of The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on 2 June 2022.

In anticipation of the celebrations, the Home Offce will launch a public consultation on extending licensing hours for pubs, clubs and bars from 11pm to 1am the following mornings on Thursday 2, Friday 3 and Saturday 4 June 2022. The extensions will apply to those premises licensed for the sale of alcohol for consumption on the premises and the provision of regulated entertainment (and therefore not apply to off licences such as supermarkets or premises only licensed for late night refreshment).

Enquiries about the consultation should be directed to the Home Office at alcoholteam2@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

We will keep you updated when the consultation is launched.
