The BBPA released on Tuesday, a helpful briefing document in relation to increasing access to public houses for all members of the community - 'An Open Welcome – Making your pub more accessible for customers'.  It addresses a number of issues in particular the employment of individuals with disabilities, improving staff awareness of different disabilities – the seen and unseen and making the space as open and welcoming as possible.  Where the briefing paper excels is the number of case studies showing real life illustrations of how accessibility has been positively addressed within premises around the country providing an excellent reference point for those looking to improve accessibility within their own premises.
