Licensing Manager

Ellie joined John Gaunt & Partners in late 2025 as a Licensing Manager, bringing with her extensive experience from across both the public and private sectors of the licensing industry.

Before joining the firm, Ellie worked for a specialist licensing law practice, giving her a strong understanding of licensing procedures, applications and client support. She has also gained valuable regulatory experience as a Licensing Officer at the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, providing her with first-hand insight into the way licensing authorities assess and determine applications.

In addition, Ellie has worked in-house for a major pub operator, where she supported a large and varied licensed estate. This experience allows her to understand the commercial and operational challenges faced by hospitality businesses, helping her provide practical, solutions-focused advice to clients.

Ellie works closely with clients across a broad range of licensing matters, supporting businesses through applications, variations, transfers and ongoing compliance issues. Her combination of legal, regulatory and operator experience enables her to take a pragmatic approach, ensuring clients receive clear guidance and responsive support throughout the licensing process.

Known for her approachable manner and attention to detail, Ellie is committed to making licensing matters as straightforward as possible for her clients while helping them achieve their commercial objectives.
