Variations

Changing Your Existing Licence

If your existing premises licence needs changing then we can apply for a variation for you. You may need to change your designated premises supervisor. Maybe you want to alter the layout of your premises, or perhaps you wish to trade for longer hours than you are presently allowed.

Variation applications may need to be advertised (DPS changes do not) and are dealt with in a similar way to a new application, so it is important that the procedure is correctly followed. It is equally important that your changes allow you to carry out all of your licensable activities. We also recommend pre-application negotiations to minimise the potential for representations (objections).

DPS Changes

All premises licences must state the name of the current Premises Supervisor (‘DPS’). Where the DPS leaves, or becomes unable to continue in their role, the DPS must be updates as soon as possible. Kate Redford, assisted by the GLASS team, can update your DPS quickly and efficiently, and often on the same day as the instructions are received. Contact Kate or the GLASS team on 0114 2668664.
