Children in Licensed Premises - a resume'Under 5 Years
May not be given intoxicants except for medicinal reasons
Under 14 Years
May not be present in a bar of licensed premises during permitted
hours, except:- a. children of the Licensee;
b. children passing through to another part of the premises by
the only convenient route;
c. where a Childrens Certificate is in force and when in the company
of a person aged 18 years or over; or
d. in railway refreshment rooms or premises to which the holding
of a License is ancillary (e.g. theatre foyer).
Aged 16 Years
May for their own consumption only, purchase and consume beer,
porter, cider or perry, with a meal, in a room set aside exclusively
for the service of such meals.
Under 18 Years
May not purchase or consume intoxicants in a bar of licensed premises.
If not in a "bar", then a person 5 years or over may
consume intoxicants purchased by a person aged 18 years or over
- for example in a restaurant or where resident.
