World Cup Guidance for Licensees

Well the World Cup is almost upon us! 

We are aware of increasingly pro-active 'pre-enforcement' by licensing authorities and the police in anticipation, with guidance issued by the Home Office direct to police forces on 'how to prepare'. (This also advocates the possibility of an under aged test purchasing campaign).

The British Beer and Pub Association (BBPA) has today issued its own guidance for pubs, in discussion with local Government organisation LACORS, to help guide licensees in ensuring any World Cup events run smoothly, safely and successfully.

The guidance is intended as a template for pubs and local authorities to work together in ensuring the World Cup is a successful and enjoyable occasion. It provides a handy checklist for licensees to run through in making sure all angles to running a successful event are considered and covered.
