Coalition Government - what it means for the licensed trade?

Sadly, we do not yet know - but given the momentous events of the past few days and other ‘issues’, it is perhaps not surprising that further reform of the licensing process (on which both parties made a mention in their manifestos) was not sufficiently important to merit inclusion in the ‘coalition agreement’.

Given the anticipation that licensing will or may return to the Home Office, we shall have to watch with interest any developments from within that department.
