Charge for A-Boards in Liverpool

Premises in Liverpool will be charged for placing A-Boards outside their premises under a new policy to come into effect next month which will impact on all businesses including pubs, restaurants and off licences.

Premises will need to apply for a licence to use the Boards at a fee averaging under £2 per week.  The Council has stated that the fee is based on the cost of managing the process.

Liverpool City Council has stated that the policy will be reviewed after it has been in operation for a year.
