Live Music Act 2012 - commencement date 'confirmed'

We are seeing reports that the Live Music Act 2012, which obtained Royal Assent on 8 March 2012, has now had its commencement date confirmed as 1 October 2012.

If so, this is in accordance with recent speculation but disappointingly means that it will not come into force in time for the Olympics or the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
