PPL - Specially Featured Entertainment Fees - breaking news

We have previously reported on proposals by PPL to radically increase fees for ‘Specially Featured Entertainment’ to which there was widespread hostility. See:  LINK

The ALMR is reporting that PPL has agreed to enter into negotiations over these proposals and to make no changes to the existing regime until 1 January 2013 at the earliest. Substantial increases in fees had originally been proposed for April 2012 – so this is a significant delay.

This does not necessarily mean that the proposed increases have been abandoned, but it does give the opportunity for a dialogue between PPL and trade organisations.
