Proposed Code of Practice for Poker in Pubs Announced

The Gambling Commission have recently announced a public consultation concerning a code of practice for equal chance gaming in clubs and premises with an alcohol licence. This code of practice is aimed at all gaming activity in Pubs including Poker.

The consultation runs until 3rd January and a response form can be found here.

Although premises offering equal chance gaming of in pubs and clubs are exempt from the requirement to hold an Operating Licence (to prescribed levels) and therefore the Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice (LCCP) the purpose of this consultation is to align the proposed code with the LCCP, particularly in relation to the resolution of complaints and disputes.
