Diamond Jubilee - proposed licensing relaxation

The Home Office has just launched a consultation which, if eventually approved, would allow pubs, bars, community and village halls and other on-licensed venues in England and Wales to open until 1am on the nights of Friday June 1 and Saturday June 2 next year, for the celebrations on the occasion of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

A consultation on the proposals which can be found here, will last until 1 December 2011.
