Scotland - Reminder - Challenge 25 goes live on 1 October!

As we indicated in our update of 15 March 2011 "Scotland - Upcoming Changes to the Licensing System", various changes to the Scottish licensing system go live on 1 October 2011 due to the implementation of the Alcohol etc. (Scotland) Act 2010.

All changes arising from the Alcohol etc. (Scotland) Act are in their respective way material but all operators are reminded that from the 1^st October 2011, they must effectively be operating ‘Challenge 25’.

Clearly this change needs to be briefed out to relevant premises, with the introduction of new Challenge 25 signage and staff will need to be trained in this new requirement.
